What is Body Composition Analysis?
Body composition analysis measures the proportions of body fat, lean tissue (muscle, organs), bone, and body water. Depending on your needs and clinic equipment, methods may include:
- Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)
- Skinfold calipers and circumferences
- Anthropometrics (BMI, waist/hip)
What to expect during Body Composition Analysis?
- Remove shoes/heavy clothing; brief BIA scan (30–60 seconds)
- Printed/digital report with fat mass, lean mass, and BMR
- Review of targets; reassess every 4–8 weeks
