Babak Hassid, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist at Doral Health & Wellness in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City.
Dr. Hassid earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He went on to complete his residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, followed by fellowships at New York Medical College – Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, New York.
Dr. Hassid is a full-time faculty member, Assistant Professor of Medicine with Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He also serves as the Director of Clinical Development Strategies and Cardiovascular Outreach at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, New York.
He specializes in high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions and completed a year of advanced Neuro-Endovascular training in Mechanical Thrombectomy & Stent for Acute Stroke Intervention at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
