I was born and raised in Jackson Heights, Queens. As a Latina interested in the field of medicine, I was eager to also learn about the social inequalities that affect health outcomes, so I earned my bachelor’s degree in public health at Rutgers University in 2018. After working as a medical assistant and falling in love with the role of a Physician assistant, I decided to obtain my master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Canisius College in 2023.
